Are you a student in need of support?

If you are a student in Somaliland and you are in need for financial support to start or continue your University education you are able to apply for DO HAWOOD support. The program is only supporting students who are struggling to pay their own fees. To be eligible to apply you have to send us the following information:

  2. Application form

  3. Motivation letter

  4. Previous study results (signed by the University)

  5. Picture

Specific instructions: Please merge all documents in one PDF. Send picture in JPG (minimum 150KB), deadline for applications 15th of August to stichtingdohawood@gmail.com. Remember to provide us with sufficient documentation or information about your (or your family’s) financial situation.

If you want to apply for support, please send us a full application with the above documents to our email address (see checklist for application).

After gathering all the applications, potential students will be invited for an interview with our local coaches and we will select a number of students to be sponsored based on our available funds. This will take place in September. DO HAWOOD will then (as of September 2025) sponsor 75% of the tuition fees by wiring the money directly to the University every year, until the expected graduation. In return we expect to receive an update on studyprogress and grades once a year.
